In 1998, Simon was selected CCFCC National Chef of the Year.
He was a member of Team Canada when it won the World Culinary Olympics in Germany in 1992 and was managing the team when it twice won the World Championship title at ScotHot.
Simon's over 20-year career with the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, has included significant growth in activity and a major expansion of the kitchen and hall facilities.
